Even the mighty Atrato River has limits. From the middle of the Atrato, a small fishing village named Tangui is the connection from the Atrato to the Tangui River. The Tangui extends Westward towards the Pacific coast. The Nudo del Ocho Knot is commonly seen along the Tangui river. This knot unites ropes, like the Village of Tangui unites two rivers for many communities who rely on the rivers for their livelihood.
