In the Pacific Region, rivers are life. Rivers are the symbolic reference points where everything is woven together. The Atrato River is the basis for fishing, food, transportation, and the economy. The Nudo Triple knot is used by sailors throughout the Atrato and is the symbol of multi -generation sailors.
